I am a photographer in western Washington. A military move with my husband brought me to the Great Northwest in 2009. This and previous moves within the last few years has given me rich material to explore photographically; as the landscapes have changed so have my thoughts on what it means to be at home.
In all of my projects, I approach image-making with an eye for life's small details. Interesting faces and solitary places are my cup of tea. I especially enjoy working with film and always return to my trusty 4 x 5 field camera.
I first studied creative writing at Florida State University, and then went on to receive an MFA in photography at the University of Memphis. Originally from northwest Florida, I am constantly missing the heat, and consider myself a southerner at heart.
